How do you add CLEO mods to Vice City on PC? GTA: Vice City. I am new to PC gaming and would like to add a simple CLEO script that allows camera movement in vehicles for GTA Vice City. I installed CLEO properly, but adding scripts only removes the ability to move the camera completely. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Installation
CLEO 4 is distributed with an auto-installer. To install the library run the installer and follow its instructions.
CLEO 4.3 supports three different versions of GTA San Andreas: 1.0, 1.01, 3.0 (steam).
CLEO requires an 'ASI Loader' installed to run which is provided with the release. The ASI Loader requires overwriting one original game file: vorbisFile.dll - be sure to make a backup of this file. No additional files are replaced, however the following files and folders are added: - cleo (CLEO script directory) - cleoFileSystemOperations.cleo (file system plugin) - cleoIniFiles.cleo (ini config plugin) - cleoIntOperations.cleo (int operations plugin) - cleocleo_save (CLEO save directory) - cleo.asi (core library) - bass.dll (audio engine library) - vorbisHooked.dll (Silent's ASI Loader)
All plugins are optional, however they may be required by various CLEO scripts.
CLEO 4 for San Andreas needs the BASS.dll v2.4 to be installed. This dll file can be downloaded from the official site of Un4seen Developments Ltd.
Now the CLEO library supports GTA Vice City, which opens up new possibilities for the scripts for these platforms. This library is required for the CLEO scripts in GTA Vice City. That makes: 1) loads the CLEO scripts from CLEO folder with the extension .cs. the rules are the same-you cannot declare global variables. 2) adds the FXT texts that enable you to use your own GXT keys without the need to edit american.gxt. FXT files are text files (MBCS characters, despite the fact that the game uses Unicode) with the extension of fxt. Should be placed in the CLEOCLEO_TEXT. Along with the library's script that allows you to save anywhere in the game (if not on a mission and was not in the car) from the main menu: Game-> SAVE GAME.
